Keep the check and the tip easy to read
This Applebee's layout separates the table and check references from the item list. Each item uses a quantity and unit price. The summary adds the tax you enter, then the tip, so you can check the meal amount and the amount paid separately.
Details to enter for a dining check

| Payment | Choose cash or card. A cash payment also needs the amount received. |
Use the original check for amounts and offers
