ReceiptEdit provides tools for generating receipts, invoices, and estimates. These tools are designed and made available exclusively for the following legitimate purposes:

Prohibited Uses

You must not use ReceiptEdit or any generated documents for any of the following purposes. Violation of these rules will result in immediate termination of access and may lead to legal action:

  Fraud & Deception: Creating receipts to fraudulently claim refunds, returns, warranties, insurance payouts, or reimbursements.

  Tax Evasion: Fabricating receipts to inflate deductions, falsify expenses, or submit inaccurate tax filings.

  Expense Report Fraud: Submitting generated receipts as genuine proof of purchase to employers or organizations for reimbursement.

  Impersonation: Misrepresenting generated documents as official documents issued by any business, retailer, or service provider.

  Any Illegal Activity: Using the service in any manner that violates local, state, national, or international laws and regulations.

ReceiptEdit bears no responsibility for any misuse of the platform by individual users. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the tool complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Brand Logos & Third-Party Trademarks

ReceiptEdit features templates that include brand logos and styling to provide realistic receipt simulations for bookkeeping and record-keeping purposes. It is important to understand:

  No Ownership: We do not own any of the brand logos, names, or trademarks displayed on the platform. All intellectual property rights for these brands belong solely to their respective owners (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Target, Starbucks, etc.).

  Purpose of Use: Brand logos are used solely because the tool creates receipt and invoice simulations for those specific brands. Their inclusion enables users to generate realistic-looking documents for legitimate bookkeeping and simulation purposes.

  No Affiliation: ReceiptEdit is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the brands whose logos or names appear in our templates. The use of these logos does not imply any partnership or relationship.

  Fair Use: The use of brand elements falls under nominative fair use for the purpose of identifying specific brands in a simulation and record-keeping context. We believe this constitutes fair and legal use.

  Removal Requests: If you are a brand owner and wish to have your brand removed from our platform, please contact us at info@receiptedit.com. We will comply promptly with all verified removal requests.

User Responsibilities

As a user of ReceiptEdit, you accept full responsibility for how you use the receipts, invoices, and estimates generated by our platform. Specifically:

  You agree to use generated documents only for lawful purposes, including but not limited to bookkeeping, record-keeping, and simulation.

  You agree not to misrepresent any simulated document as an official or authentic receipt from any business or retailer.

  You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

  You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReceiptEdit and its operators from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the platform.

  You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the functionality of the website or its services.

Intellectual Property

The ReceiptEdit website, its original content (excluding third-party brand assets), features, and functionality are owned by ReceiptEdit and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the platform's design, code, or proprietary content without prior written consent. The receipt templates, editor tools, and site design remain the property of ReceiptEdit.

As stated in Section 4, all third-party brand logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Our use of these assets is limited to providing realistic simulations for bookkeeping purposes.

Limitation of Liability

ReceiptEdit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

In no event shall ReceiptEdit, its directors, employees, partners, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

ReceiptEdit shall not be liable for any damages, legal consequences, or penalties resulting from the misuse of generated documents by users. Users are solely responsible for their use of the platform.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your use of the service, you may simply stop accessing the website.

Privacy

All receipt and invoice data is processed in your browser. We do not store your generated documents on our servers. Your financial information and receipt data remain private.
