Show the deposit separately from the full price
This template records a payment toward a vehicle purchase. It has separate fields for the agreed purchase price, deposit paid and balance owing, plus the buyer, vehicle and expected delivery. Use the item row for the amount being paid now, so the receipt total does not accidentally show the entire vehicle price.

Keep the two sets of figures consistent
- Enter the deposit as the item's full line amount. This receipt sums line amounts; it does not multiply them by the displayed quantity.
- Update Deposit Paid and Balance Owing yourself. Those text fields are not recalculated when the item amount changes.
- For example, a $1,000 deposit against an agreed $12,000 price leaves $11,000 before any other adjustments. Check that all three fields show the intended figures.
- Use the footer for the terms the parties have actually agreed, and replace the sample dealer and delivery details.
