Keep completed work separate from future recommendations
The garage layout has item rows for the job that was billed and a separate Recommended Next Visit field. That separation helps distinguish work already paid for from something the mechanic suggests checking later. Vehicle registration, VIN, mileage and mechanic details sit alongside the payment record.

Check labor and follow-up notes
- Enter the complete labor charge in Line amount. For two hours at £65, use £130.00 as the line amount and describe the rate in the item text.
- Quantity is displayed but is not multiplied again in this layout. Use a full amount for parts rows too.
- Keep recommendations out of the billed item list unless they were actually charged.
- Review the VAT setting, MOT date and footer guarantee text. Those defaults do not determine the vehicle’s condition or the garage’s terms.
